This Founder Wants To Break The Language Barrier

Today, I interviewed Lewis Lu, the founder of Locales.ai, a tool that offers app and website localization with support for over 30 major languages.

Who are you and what motivated you to step into tech?

From physics geek to tech enthusiast, I've always been about cracking complex problems. Consulting at McKinsey showed me the power of tech in business. Since then, I've been all in on the B2B tech startup scene, chasing that next big disruptor.

What are some of your previous projects?

Led VVIC before this, a digital game-changer for the apparel market, linking 20k suppliers with 6M retailers. We made the supply chain not just faster, but smarter.

Coming to Locales.ai, what prompted you to build it?

Noticed how tech and e-comm businesses hit a wall going global? That's where Locales.ai jumps in. We're tackling the first big hurdle: making your app or website speak everyone's language.

What does Locales.ai offer that the competition does not?

It's all about making localization a no-brainer. Think human-like translations without the hefty price tag or the hassle. We're here to make global feel local.

What are your future goals for Locales.ai?

We're on a mission to smooth out the road to global for tech and e-comm businesses. With Locales.ai, the world doesn't just get smaller; it gets more connected.

Who are your customers? How has the response been?

We're serving tech and e-commerce company business leaders, product managers, and developers. It's positive. Customers are jumping on board and start paying for Locales.ai.

Anything else you want to share with the world?

We're all about empowering businesses for international growth. Sure, cutting down on the cost is the basic win. But the real magic? Making the whole dev process slicker and quicker. That kind of efficiency boost is priceless for staying ahead in the game.
