Google has launched its latest large language model called "Gemini," marking the beginning of a new era in AI. Gemini is a suite of models that includes Gemini Nano (for Android devices), Gemini Pro (for Google AI services), and Gemini Ultra (for data centers and enterprise applications).
Google claims that Gemini outperforms OpenAI's GPT-4 in 30 out of 32 benchmarks, emphasizing its superiority in understanding and interacting with video and audio.
The launch signifies Google's attempt to reclaim a leadership position in the AI space, following the success of OpenAI's ChatGPT.

Tesla's Cybertruck, initially unveiled four years ago, has started deliveries to around a dozen customers. The base model's price, initially announced at $39,900, has increased by over 50% to $60,990.
The Cybertruck lineup includes a rear-wheel drive base model, a dual-motor version, and a "Cyberbeast" tri-motor trim. The base model is set to arrive in 2025, while the dual-motor version is expected in 2023, and the tri-motor trim in 2024.
The Cybertruck's towing capacity, reaching 11,000 pounds for the two more expensive trims, has been well-received. Additionally, the Cybertruck is Tesla's first vehicle to feature bi-directional charging, allowing the battery to charge or power devices, including another Cybertruck, through the rear bed's outlet.

Meta AI researchers have developed a suite of artificial intelligence models named Seamless Communication, aiming to enhance natural and authentic communication across languages.
The flagship model, Seamless, integrates capabilities from three other models, enabling real-time translation between over 100 spoken and written languages while preserving the speaker's vocal style, emotion, and prosody.
SeamlessExpressive focuses on preserving the vocal style and emotional nuances during translation, while SeamlessStreaming enables near real-time translation with minimal latency. SeamlessM4T v2 serves as the foundational model, ensuring improved consistency between text and speech output. The combination of these models allows for expressive cross-lingual communication in real-time.

Spotify plans to cut about 17% of its global workforce, amounting to approximately 1,500 people, as part of a cost-cutting measure.
The decision comes as Spotify aims to translate its subscriber growth into consistent profitability. Despite experiencing a slowdown in economic growth, Spotify has been resilient in terms of subscriber numbers but has struggled to achieve consistent profitability.
Spotify CEO Daniel Ek acknowledged that the job cuts would impact individuals who have made valuable contributions to the company.
